Three people in the SUV were hospitalized, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at 1:03 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 on the Turnpike north inner roadway milepost 93.2 in Woodbridge Township, State Police said.
Preliminary investigation revealed a collision occurred between a Nissan SUV and Van Hool bus causing the Nissan to run off the roadway right and overturn into trees, police said.
The driver and two occupants of the Nissan were taken to an area hospital, police said.
No injuries were reported among the occupants on the bus. Police did not say how many people were on the bus.
The accident remains under investigation.
